Springtime

We set up our yurt in spring and in the beginning its canvases were as white as the flowers of the apple trees surrounding us. We started to grow chillis on the terrace and got some chicken that lived underneath the yurt and that gave us three eggs per day, made the first cleaning of our pots and pans with their tictacing beaks and even chased mice.

Spring is the time to live with a short and small fire in the morning and open windows by early afternoon. With the first heavy rainfalls of the year and the cosy hammering they leave inside and from time to time a bird that runs over the roof. A less than 100g light animal but it feels a little like it was sitting in the palm of your hand. So close to the outside…
